Day 1

Arrival at Cochin
  • Our representative will receive you at the Cochin Airport and transfer you to the hotel
  • The Queen of Arabian Sea, this is one of the finest natural harbors in the World and was one of the major centers for commerce and trade with British, Chinese, Portugese, Dutch, etc.
  • Feel at leisure in the evening when you relax yourself in this picturesque ‘port city’
  • Overnight stay in the hotel

Day 2

Cochin Tour
  • After Breakfast, set out on sightseeing in Cochin
  • Visit places like Fort Cochin, still keeping alive its ancient Jew tradition, the Santa Cruz Basilica, Mattancherry palace, St. Francis Church
  • The Jew’s street and the Chinese fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue, Folklore Museum Thevara etc.
  • Return to hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Cochin – Munnar
  • After breakfast drive down to Munnar (4 ½ hrs)
  • Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha,Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level
  • This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India
  • On the way visiting Tripunithura Hill Palace. On arrival, check into the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 4

Munnar Tour
  • Morning – explore the picturesque hill station
  • Visit the Rajamala Hills (also known as Evarikulam National Park) / Anaimudi (2,695 m) South India’s highest peak
  • Madupetty Dam, Echo point, Pothemedu view point, Blosson Park, Tea Museum
  • Return to the hotel for overnight stay

Day 5

Munnar – Periyar / Thekkady
  • After lunch proceed to Thekkady / Periyar (120 Kms/ about 4 hours)
  • Throughout this journey you can enjoy different types of spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla, pepper etc
  • Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over 777 sq. km. including 360 sq. km of dense evergreen forest tract, is one of the most fascinating wildlife reserves in Kerala. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978, the sanctuary is noted for its geomorphology, abundance of wildlife and abounding scenic beauty
  • Upon arrival you will be taken to resort
  • In the evening simmer down and get refreshed enjoying a boat safari (on supplement cost if not include with the tour) in the scenic Periyar Lake, occasionally winning the glance of some rare varieties of birds and animals at Periyar National Park
  • Return to hotel for an overnight stay

Day 6

Periyar / Thekkady
  • Enjoy a full day guided plantation tour (on supplement cost if not include with the tour cost)
  • Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride. Evening in leisure
  • Overnight stay at Periyar

Day 7

Periyar / Thekkady – Kumarakom
  • After a refreshing breakfast, travel to Kumarakom, a land lying on the banks of Lake Vembanad, enveloped with stunning scenery
  • Visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a home to thousand of rare species of birds
  • Overnight stay in the hotel at Kumarakom

Day 8

Kumarakom – Alleppey (Houseboat)
  • After a refreshing breakfast, set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboat
  • While cruising in these floating luxury-villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual – skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed-down paddy fields, local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, ancient temples and swaying coconut groves
  • Delicious Food served on-board
  • Overnight stay in the houseboat

Day 9

Alleppey – Kovalam
  • After a refreshing breakfast served on-board, check out from the houseboat and drive to Kovalam
  • This beach town, ranked high among international tourists is an ideal destination to feel the tropical sun and to feel contented about the golden sun tan
  • Water enthusiasts have a lot of beach activities to indulge in like – kayaking, surfing etc. based on availability on the day of your travel (on supplement cost if not include with the tour cost)
  • Occasionally walk into some of the certified massage centers alongside the beach and pamper yourself with an exotic herbal, body- toning massage (on supplement cost if not include with the tour cost)
  • Overnight stay at hotel near the beach

Day 10

Kovalam – Trivandrum – Kovalam
  • Morning – set out on a sightseeing tour to Thiruvananthapuram. Thiruvananthapuram, previously called Trivandrum, is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC
  • This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total of 2,192
  • Visit places of interests like Padmanabhaswami Temple, Zoo, Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Palace
  • Later in the evening travel back to Kovalam for an overnight stay

Day 11

Kovalam – Trivandrum – Departure Transfer
  • Morning – transfer to Trivandrum airport / railway station (depending on your departure place) for your flight / train back home feeling contented about a memorable holiday you spent in the “God’s Own Country”

Our recent Kerala trip was well organised by Vuelo travels. Kudos to Ms Sangeeta and team. Hotel rooms were clean, food was hygienic, Zuri resort’s facilities were awesome.
